postcards from nyx tells the story of the loneliest voyager: a computer (ARC) tasked with saving the world’s memories after human extinction. a million year trek leads to nyx🪐, a pink planet bearing life, maybe… as ARC nears their destination, they reflect on the memories they hold.

the full version of postcards from nyx is designed to be experienced in an immersive environment. while we do not plan on hosting any future screenings, the audio-only version of postcards from nyx is available on spotify and other streaming platforms.

the film visuals include many archival and open-source materials; see works cited

disclosure: there is a very brief section of the film which includes generated AI content. this was created long before the release of ChatGPT, when AI seemed like a novelty, not a threat to creative livelihoods, as well as a way to play with the themes of the film. if i made this film again, i would not use ai.
